TaScA

Project Description: A system based in inertial sensors for taekwondo scoring.

Overview: In recent years the taekwondo scoring system was declared subjective and with little accuracy. Therefore new ideas for taekwondo scoring system have been explored. Companies like Adidas and Daedo developed electronic scoring systems based on electronic protective vests. However there isn't yet a satisfactory system for solving the problem of scoring points to the head.

Objectives: We propose a new way of scoring points to the head, which does not limit the athletes' movements while detecting accurately valid point and discards all others situations.
