Sensopolitan

Project Description: Sensopolitan is an advanced vibration measurement system that allows the remote monitoring of railway structures by using intelligent clusters of wireless sensors and passive mobile readers that deliver the measured data to a user-friendly graphical interface. The mobile readers temporarily store the pre-processed data generated by the sensor nodes, small and easy-deployable subsystems that are equipped with specialized accelerometers. The collected measurement data is delivered to a wireless base station that serves as a gateway between the wireless sensor opportunistic network and a machine running the graphical interface, allowing the user to see the results and setup further measurements remotely.
